- Responsibilities

- Players & Visitors: Responsible for adhering to court rules, using equipment properly, and reporting any hazards or incidents.
- Staff: Responsible for monitoring activities, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to emergencies.
- Court Maintenance & Safety Checks
- Regular inspections of the playing surface to ensure it is free from damage, debris, or slippery conditions.
- Secure fencing and lighting checks to prevent injuries and ensure visibility.
- Regular assessment of net conditions and supporting structures.
- Availability of first aid kit and emergency contact information.
- Player Safety & Conduct
- Players must wear appropriate footwear with non-marking soles and suitable sports attire.
- No glass bottles or hazardous items allowed on the court.
- Players must warm up before playing to prevent injuries.
- No aggressive or reckless behaviour is permitted on the court.
- Hydration and sun protection are encouraged, especially in hot weather.
- Emergency Procedures
- First aid kit and defibrillator are available on-site.
- In case of an injury, the game must be stopped immediately, and assistance must be sought from the Lion Quays Fitness Centre Reception.
- First Aid information is visibly displayed on each court.
- Severe weather policy: Play must be stopped during extreme weather conditions (e.g., lightning, heavy rain, strong winds).
- COVID-19 & Hygiene Measures (if applicable)
- Regular sanitation of common areas and high-touch surfaces.
- Encouraging hand hygiene and use of personal equipment where possible.
